PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sealing method for an electromagnetic contactor which can easily perform gas sealing in an electromagnetic contactor.SOLUTION: A gas sealing method for an electromagnetic contactor which includes: a sealing container air-tightly accommodating a pair of stationary contacts arranged apart from each other with a prescribed distance and a movable contact contactable/separable to/from the pair of stationary contacts; and a metal pipe connecting the inside and the outside of the sealing container connects the pipe and a gas supply source, introduces gas from the gas supply source into the sealing container through the pipe, stops the gas supply from the gas supply source when the pressure of the introduced gas reaches prescribed gas pressure, performs ultrasonic-welding while blocking an opening of the pipe and cuts the pipe when welding of the pipe with the ultrasonic-welding is completed, thereby forming a gas sealing hermetic container in which gas is sealed in an arc-extinguishing chamber and a cap. |
