PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lever manufacturing method without a fear of breaking a molding die of a part forming a lock arm, and capable of downsizing that when a lever of a lever fitting connector is manufactured. SOLUTION: A part provided with an excessive displacement preventing piece 72 of a lock arm 44 is formed in injection to be placed on outer side than a displacement regulation rib, a gap between a pair of the displacement regulation ribs is enlarged by bending a coupling part 46 made free ends of formed lever side plates 42 closely place each other, and the part equipped with the excessive displacement preventing piece 72 is pressed further inside than the displacement regulation rib, so that, after the excessive displacement preventing piece 72 is placed between the displacement regulation rib and the coupling part 46, the bending of the coupling part 46 is restored, the enlargement of the displacement regulation rib is released.
