<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a worker detecting device that allows weight saving in a top part in a head protector to which a transmitter is to be installed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A working cap 20 worn by a worker is installed with the ultrasonic transmitter 30, and a forklift truck is installed with an ultrasonic receiver. The ultrasonic transmitter 30 has: a transmitting unit 50 having an ultrasonic vibrator 51; and a power supply unit 40 having a battery, and a control circuit and a driver driving the ultrasonic vibrator 51 to generate an ultrasonic wave.
