PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flow path arrangement including a filter for a particle detector for detecting particles in an environment.SOLUTION: A particle detector (12) includes one or more sensors (30) for analyzing fluid in a detection region and producing a sensor output. A filter arrangement (10) includes a first flow path (22) including a filter (26), and a second flow path (24) that bypasses the filter (26). The particle detector also includes; a valve mechanism for controlling relative flow rates of fluid flowing through the first flow path (22) and the second flow path (24); and a controller (32) configured to receive the sensor output corresponding to the relative flow rates and apply logic thereto to generate an output indicative of condition of the filter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
