This device is applicable to rear-view mirrors provided with a principal body mounted with the possibility of rotating on a support arm and it comprises an electric motor which is fixed to the support arm or to the principal body of the rear-view mirror, the drive shaft being provided with actuation means which act, respectively, on the principal body or on the support arm and which determine the arrangement of said principal body in a folded or deployed position, depending on the direction of rotation of the drive shaft; the motor is connected to the vehicle's electrical installation via control means which, when actuated, determine folding or deployment of the principal body of the rear-view mirror. <IMAGE>
