<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing agent coating device configured to apply a processing agent to the coating area of a recording medium of various sizes, neither too much nor too little. <P>SOLUTION: The processing agent coating device 3 includes: a processing agent supply part 6; a coating roller 4 that turns in contact with the supply part 6; and a counter roller 5 that turns in contact with the coating roller. The processing agent supply part and the coating roller are fixedly positioned, and the counter roller can be moved in an axial direction and set at any position with reference to the coating roller. By moving the counter roller in the axial direction, the width of the recording medium which is held between the rollers and to which the processing agent can be applied, can be arbitrarily set. The counter roller is positioned, thereafter, the recording medium 2 is held between the coating roller 4 and the counter roller 5 and conveyed, and then, the processing agent is applied to one side of the recording medium 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
