PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noise detector capable of reducing the time required for an investigation, by performing dummy communication where communication error occurs with high probability when noise is applied to a communication cable.SOLUTION: A noise detector connected between an end of a multicore cable and a communication apparatus, and detecting noise during communication between the communication apparatuses, has a connector for connection with the multicore cable, a noise detection data generation unit generating the data with an error detection code for detecting noise, a transmission and reception unit performing transmission and reception of the noise detection data continuously by using at least one core wire not used for communication, out of the core wires of the multicore cable, and a detector for detecting an error by checking the noise detection data thus received.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
