PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve foreign matter intrusion prevention performance, while having an axial fixing function equal to that of a conventional C-shaped retaining ring.SOLUTION: A C-shaped retaining ring 201, 211 for fixing a bearing, is composed of an annular body having an abutment portion partially divided, and is provided with an elastic member 209, 219 on the abutment portion to connect the divided end portions. As the abutment portion is closed by the elastic member, foreign matter intrusion prevention performance can be improved in comparison with a conventional C-shaped retaining ring. The foreign matter intrusion prevention performance can be improved by having a sufficient radial width to cover a sliding surface of a bearing seal member by circular arc portions 204, 214.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
