PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizer efficiently sterilizing or removing fungus and virus floating in air. SOLUTION: This sterilizer 300 is provided with an ion generating element 101, an air suction fan 302, and an ion treatment chamber 303. The air suction fan 302 spreads positive ions and negative ions generated by the ion generating element 101 in the interior of the box-shaped ion treatment chamber 303. The positive ions and the negative ions, even though they has life span from several seconds to over ten seconds, can reach every corner of the ion treatment chamber 303 before their vanishing.
