PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell stack device having a structure that does not involve much time and labor for manufacturing and does not cause positional displacement of fuel battery cells after a long exposure to high temperature.SOLUTION: A lower end of a plurality of fuel battery cells 2 having a gas flow passage 2a in an axial length direction is gas sealed by an inorganic material and vertically joined to a top plate 5 of a manifold 4 in which a gas chamber 3 is formed. The gas flow passage of the fuel battery cell 2 and the gas chamber 3 in the manifold 4 communicate with each other. The lower end of the fuel battery cell 2 is supported by an inner bottom face 4a of the manifold 4 with an insulating support member 92. A space 6 is defined between the lower end face of the fuel battery cell 2 and the inner bottom face 4a of the manifold 4. The gas flow passage of the fuel battery cell 2 is open to the space 6. |
