<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness in switching between lock and free of a rotation transmitting device without increasing power consumption of an electromagnetic coil 35 and reducing spring force of a switch spring 33 in the rotation transmitting device where a phase of a retainer 29 to an inner member 22 or an outer ring 25 is changed by action of electromagnetic force of electromagnet, and a wedge engagement state is formed between an engagement element and the inner member 22 and the outer ring 25 to connect and disconnect two rotating shafts. <P>SOLUTION: A guide shaft portion 48 for guiding an inner diameter portion of an armature 44 through a prescribed radial clearance, is mounted on an outer diameter of the inner member, a means for improving the responsiveness in switching the connection and disconnection in response to the change of power supply to the electromagnetic coil is provided, and a surface for reducing friction is formed on, for example, at least one of the inner diameter portion of the armature 44 and the guide shaft portion 48 of the inner member 22. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
