PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to simplify fabricating process steps of the liquid crystal display device and to prevent a signal line from being eroded. CONSTITUTION: When forming a plurality of gate lines(300) and a gate pad(800) on a thin film transistor substrate(100), end portions of the gate lines opposite to the gate pad are formed to be collected toward the center of an edge portion of the thin film transistor substrate. A first sealing(500) having a liquid crystal implanting hole(510) is formed around the edge portion of the thin film transistor substrate and at the same time a branch(520) of the first sealing is formed to extend to the outside of both sides of the end portion of the gate line. Subsequently, two substrates are attached to each other and a liquid crystal material is implanted between the two substrates. A second sealing(600) for sealing the liquid crystal implanting hole is then formed and at the same time extend to the branch of the first sealing along the end portion of the gate line so as not to expose the end portion of the gate line. |
