PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate rail for a vertically sliding sash door commonly called "Yukimi Shoji" or "Nekoma Shoji", which enables the vertically sliding sash door to be used in place of a sash by increasing strength through the use of the metal intermediate rail. SOLUTION: This intermediate rail N is used for the vertically sliding sash door A in which glass 20 is arranged in a fittings frame body 1, which is provided in a vertically double-sliding manner, and in which a plurality of sash doors 30 formed in a split shape by being regulated to a size associated with the closing of the whole surface of the opening of the frame body 1 are arranged. The intermediate rail N is formed of an intermediate-rail fixing member 9 which is inserted into an intermediate-rail fixing hole 7a formed in such a shape as to be flush with right and left stiles 4, and a long glass fixing member 8 which is fitted into the member 9.
