A method for performing a cryptographic process comprising a plurality of rounds, the method comprising: receiving first and second cipher keys; for the plurality of rounds, generating a first set of subkeys corresponding to the first cipher key as a function of the first cipher key; for the plurality of rounds, generating a second set of subkeys corresponding to the second cipher key, wherein for each round after a first round, a subkey of the second set of subkeys is a function of (i) a first subkey of the first set of subkeys from a previous round and (ii) a second subkey of the second set of subkeys from the previous round; and performing the cryptographic process using the generated sets of subkeys.
