Cursor memory for computer mouse pointer

The cursor memory stores cursor pattern data (CURD) in form of first (CURD0) and second pattern data (CURD1), in a cursor memory body (101). A read arrangement (102) executes a read process of the first and second pattern data from the cursor memory body, and a read/write arrangement (103) executes both, a read and a write process of the first and second pattern data from the cursor memory body. The cursor memory body includes a first bank (lOla) with a first block (B1, Bla) for storing lower order bits of the first pattern data, and a second block (B2, B2a) for storing higher order bits of the second pattern data, and a second bank (lOlb) with a third block (B3, B3a) for storing lower order bit of the second pattern data and a fourth block (B4, B4a) for storing higher order bit of the first pattern data.
