PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more brightly illuminate a dial section indicated by a pointer and to enable a user to read the information, such as characters, of this section. SOLUTION: The pointer 20 is formed to a long-sized form from a pointer part 23 consisting of a light transmission body 21. The front surface of the pointer part 23 is provided with a coating material layer 23 for illuminating itself. An LED 27 as a visible light source is built into the base end 22 of the light transmission body 21. The light of the LED 27 is made incident on the base end 22 and is radiated from the rear surface of the pointer part 23. As a result, the direct illumination of the periphery of the character part 11 of the dial 10 corresponding to the position of the pointer part 23 is made possible. |
