PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic filler for a chlorine-containing polymer, capable of greatly improving an impact strength and improving a flexural modulus while retaining a flexural strength, when used in combination with an elastomer modifier. SOLUTION: The inorganic filler comprises a wet-ground product of calcium carbonate and kaolin, contains calcium carbonate (A) and kaolin (B) in a weight ratio A:B of from 9:1 to 1:9 and has an average particle size measured by a laser diffraction scattering method of from 0.1 to 1.0μm.
