PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle neutral control device for suppressing return shock resulting from a change of an idle engine speed during return from neutral control. SOLUTION: When the operation of a foot brake 69 is cancelled, a N-control return determination value C<SB>N</SB>is smaller which is set to be greater as the engine speed NE is higher. When brake master cylinder pressure C<SB>MC</SB>is reached, return from neutral control is executed. So, when the idle engine speed is high during return, the brake master cylinder pressure C<SB>MC</SB>is produced to be higher corresponding to the speed. The return shock during return is suppressed by vehicle braking force which is generated by the brake master cylinder pressure C<SB>MC</SB>.
