Catalyst system (I) comprises: at least a metal catalyst of the 8th subgroup; and at least a siloxy functional aromatic compound (II) or its mixtures as co-catalyst. Catalyst system (I) comprises: at least a metal catalyst of the 8th subgroup; and at least a siloxy functional aromatic compound of formula (II) or its mixtures as co-catalyst. R : alkyl or aryl; and either R1>-R5>H, halo, OH, alkyl, silylalkyl, allyl, aryl, alkoxy, aryloxy or siloxy; or R1>R5>aromatic or non-aromatic ring (optionally substituted). An independent claim is included for adding a silicon-bonded hydrogen across an aliphatic carbon-carbon multiple bond, comprising reacting a compound containing aliphatic carbon-carbon multiple bonds and organo silicon compound with silicon-bonded hydrogen in the presence of at least a metal catalyst of the 8th subgroup, where from the beginning or during the reaction adding at least a silyl functional aromatic compound of formula (II), or their mixtures, as co-catalyst.
