Provided is a drive force control device for a four-wheel-drive vehicle, the drive force control device capable of avoiding the occurrence of excessive under-steering and over-steering in a driver's unintended situation by appropriately controlling drive force to be distributed to sub drive wheels. A drive force control device for a four-wheel-drive vehicle performs control for using front wheels (Wf, Wf) as main drive wheels and using rear wheels (Wr, Wr) as sub drive wheels by controlling drive force to be distributed to the rear wheels (Wr, Wr) by a front/rear torque distribution clutch (10), and when calculating four-wheel-drive torque to be distributed to the rear wheels (Wr, Wr) by the drive distribution device (10), performs control for limiting the upper limit of the four-wheel-drive torque on the basis of the estimated drive force of the vehicle and the steering angle of the vehicle. Consequently, the occurrence of excessive over-steering due to the too much control amount of the rear wheels (Wr, Wr) and excessive under-steering due to the too little control amount thereof in a driver's unintended situation can be avoided. |
