PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce more inexpensive ferritic stainless steel in which the average temp. coefficient of sufficient electric resistance and oxidation resistance excellent even in the temp. region of >1000 deg.C are simultaneously realized. SOLUTION: This steel contains, by weight, <=0.2% C, <=2% Si, <=1% Mn, <=1% (including zero) Ni, 10 to 25% Cr and one or >= two kinds among <=0.2% rare earth elements, <=0.5% Y, <=0.5% Hf and <=1% Zr by <=1% in total, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities.
