PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a liquid ejection head which can be manufactured easily in a short time and in which ejection efficiency is enhanced by a protrusion intruding into a channel from an orifice plate. SOLUTION: An orifice plate 40 being jointed to a head body having a plurality of channels is provided integrally with ejection openings 41 communicating with the channels, and protrusions 45 projecting from the inner wall of the ejection opening 41 to the head body side. Since the protrusion 45 intrudes into the inside of the interconnecting opening of each channel, ink flows smoothly from the channel to the ejection opening and ink ejection efficiency is enhanced. The protrusion 45 has a part 45a parallel with the arranging direction of the ejection opening, and a thinner part 45b orthogonal to the arranging direction. Since a gap can be ensured between protrusions corresponding to adjacent ejection openings 41, the ejection openings 41 can be arranged at high density.
