PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine in which laundry is not clamped by the port edge part of a pulsator and washing capacity is not reduced when providing a cup-like pulsator in the washing machine and smooth washing water circulation and laundry agitation are performed. SOLUTION: The pulsator 40 is arranged at the inner bottom part of a washing tub 30, is in a cup shape similarly to the washing tub 30 in a cylindrical cup shape, is lower than the washing tub 30 and presents a shape along the inner surface of the washing tub 30. The pulsator 40 is constituted and arranged so that the inner surface of the pulsator 40 and the inner surface of the washing tub 30 are flat at the port edge part 46. Thus, even in the case that the pulsator 40 is turned to the cup shape, a level difference is prevented from being generated between the inner surface of the pulsator 40 and the inner surface of the washing tub 30 at the port edge part 46. Also, the upper part of the pulsator 40 turned to the cup shape can be arranged more on the outer side than the inner surface of the washing tub 30 at the upper part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
