BISAZACROWNETHERCALIX[4]ARENE LINKERS AND METHOD FOR SYNTHESIZING THE SAME

A bis-aza-crown ether Calix[4]arene linker is provided to fix a protein with higher concentration effectively by forming a self-assembled monomolecular film on the surface of gold, thereby capable of modifying the surface in various ways and being applied for various usages such as a protein chip. A novel compound is characterized in that it has Calix[4]arene as a framework, 1-aza-18-crown-6 is selectively linked to 1,3-position of the edge down thereof and a thiol is selectively introduced into para position of a benzene ring having a phenolic hydroxy group. The compound is represented by the formula(1). A method for preparing the compound comprises the steps of: (a) adding aza-crown ether to Calix[4]arene as a starting material to prepare a bis-aza-crown ether Calix[4]arene derivative; and (b) selectively introducing a thiol group into a para position of a benzene ring having a phenolic hydroxy group.
