<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device capable of reducing equipment cost for finishing processing, while securing fitting force to an inner shaft outer diameter of an inner ring constituting member. <P>SOLUTION: This bearing device H for a wheel has an inner ring member 7 composed of an inner shaft 1 and the inner ring constituting member 8 fitted to an outer diameter of this inner shaft 1, an outer ring member 5 concentrically arranged with this inner ring member 7 on the outer diameter side of this inner ring member 7, and a rolling element 6 rollingly arranged between the inner ring member 7 and the outer ring member 5, and is provided by applying hob processing to an outer peripheral surface in the vicinity of a vehicle inner side end part of the inner shaft 1 by outwardly projectingly forming a wheel installing flange 9 on an outer peripheral surface in the vicinity of a vehicle outer side end part of the inner shaft 1. Heat treatment is applied to an outside surface of the inner shaft 1 up to a position drawing near to the vehicle outer side by a predetermined distance from the vehicle outer side edge of a hob processing-applied part, that is, a position having no influence of the heat treatment on the hob processing-applied part, from a vehicle inner side part of the root of the wheel installing flange 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
