PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water closet capable of securing a waterline sufficiently high for water seal in a trap to perform water saving while reducing the amount of water to be stored in the trap.SOLUTION: The water closet in one embodiment of this invention includes a toilet bowl 1 having a drain port 10 in the bottom, a deformable drain trap 2 connected to the drain port 10, a switching part 3 for switching the drain trap 2 between a drain attitude and a water seal attitude, and a water supply part 4 for supplying water to the toilet bowl 1. The water closet in one embodiment of this invention further includes a raising member 5 for raising water in the drain trap 2 being in the water seal attitude, and a driving part 6 for moving the raising member 5 into/out of the drain trap 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
