Disclosed is a double wall tank configuration based on two different structural construction approaches being solution to the problem of effectively minimizing noise from oil immersed power transformers or reactors. In the embodiment A is disclosed a configuration for the tank wall comprising an outer layer, an inner layer, a vibration absorbing material contained between the two layers, and at least one intermediate layer connector. The intermediate layer connector comprises at least one pair of hooked opposing components entangled in each other, and where said components are fixed to each layer. In the embodiment B the tank wall comprises a structurally reinforced outer layer system, a structurally reinforced inner layer system, and a vibration absorbing material contained in the interlayer, within reinforcement cavities, or within both. |
