PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting diode array where a chip is smaller with reduced cost, for fineness and high-output as a printer light source. SOLUTION: A light-emitting diode array is provided where a plurality of light-emitting diodes comprising an anode electrode, a cathode electrode and a gate electrode are so arranged that light-emitting parts are lined up on a common board. Here, the anode electrodes of all the light-emitting diodes are electrically connected to form a common anode electrode. The cathode electrodes of the light-emitting diodes in a block which is provided by dividing the plurality of light-emitting diodes are electrically connected to form a common cathode electrode. The gate electrodes of such light-emitting diodes in each block as in the same arrangement are electrically connected to form a common gate electrode. Further, a Schottky barrier is formed on a current path between the common anode electrode and the common cathode electrode of each light-emitting diode.
|
