PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metallized film capacitor which is superior in withstand voltage property and moisture resistance and has high safety by solving the problem that safety drops when withstand voltage is improved by thinning a film on the metallized film capacitor used for smoothing an inverter circuit for vehicle. SOLUTION: A first metallized film where a metal depositing electrode 3 is formed at one end in a widthwise direction of a dielectric film 2 by leaving a nonmetal depositing part 6, a low resistance 4 is formed on the other end, and a second metallized film which is formed in the same way as the first metallized film and in which a division electrode is formed, are made into a pair. The low resistance parts 4 are made in opposite directions and a pair of metal depositing electrodes 3 and 7 are wound to confront each other through a dielectric film 1. Electrodes are formed on both ends of the capacitor. Surface roughness of the dielectric film 1 where the division electrode is arranged is made smaller than that of the other dielectric film 2.
