<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high temperature operation type fuel cell system which can prevent air from entering a fuel electrode of high temperature, oxidation from progressing, and deterioration and damages from being induced, even in such cases that: power failure occurs; or the power failure coincides with fuel cut-off. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell system is provided with a fuel cell (1), a fuel supply means (2), and an air supply means (3), and the fuel supply means (2) is provided with a raw fuel supply means (4), a vaporizer (6) arranged between the raw fuel supply means (4) and the fuel cell (1), a water supply means (pump) (5) for supplying water to the vaporizer (6).
