PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet head in which both high density and high speed are satisfied. SOLUTION: A plurality of nozzles are formed on the surface of a head body section 21, a plurality of pressure chambers 33 and ink reservoirs 31 are formed therein and a plurality of actuators 30 are provided on the rear surface thereof. A member 22 for forming an ink supply passage from an ink tank to the ink reservoirs 31 is forked to straddle the actuator 30. Outlets 40 of the ink supply passage 24 are provided on the opposite sides of the ink reservoir 31 so that ink is supplied from the opposite end parts thereof.
