PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means which enables improvement of liquid repellency in a portion for detecting the liquid residual quantity in a liquid storage chamber.SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 30 includes: a frame 31 in which an ink chamber 36 for storing an ink is formed; a protruding part 37 which protrudes from the frame 31 in an upper direction 54, has an internal space communicating with the ink chamber 36, and has light permeability; a liquid repellent member 120 which is inserted into the internal space of the protruding part 37, has a first end 121A and a second end 121B positioned in the upper direction 54 relative to the first end 121A, includes an internal space 123 opened to the ink chamber 36 at the first end 121A, has light permeability, and has higher liquid repellency against the ink than the protruding part 37; and a sealing part 122 which is formed at a position near a lower end of the liquid repellent member 120 and contacts with the frame 31 while elastically deforming to seal a gap between a space 128 formed between the protruding part 37 and the liquid repellent member 120 and the ink chamber 36 in a fluid-tight manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
