<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control valve type lead-acid storage battery, having a high level of both output characteristics and cycle life characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the control valve type lead-acid storage battery, for a volume V of a positive electrode plate except a current collector ear part and mass W of a positive electrode grid body except the current collector ear part, a ratio (W/V) of W to the volume V is 1.20 g/cm<SP>3</SP>or more. For a grid area S of the positive electrode grid body and a grid peripheral length L of the positive electrode grid body, a ratio (S/L) of the peripheral length L to the area S is 2.3 mm or less, and an apparent density of a positive electrode active material filled in the positive electrode grid body is 4.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
