PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To send impedance compensated defibrillation pulse by providing an energy storage capacitor network that sends impedance compensated defibrillation pulse to a patient through a HV switch which is connected to a pair of electrodes which is connected with the patient. SOLUTION: An energy storage capacitor network 26 is connected to a HV switch 16 which sends defibrillation pulse to a patient through a pair of electrodes by responding to polar/duration control signal from a controller. A high voltage battery charger 24 is connected to each of capacitor 60-68 selectively through a pair of charging switches 50-56 so that a pair of capacitor 69-68 is charged up to desired voltage level easily. The capacitor 60-68 are connected with the HV switch 16 under control of a controller which decides a polar/duration of impedance compensated energy to the patient with one of the constitutions, i.e., serial, parallel and serial.parallel.
