An optical film, an antireflection film, a polarizing plate, a display apparatus, and an optical film manufacturing method are provided to produce the antireflection film with sufficient antireflection property and good scratch resistance by quickly curing a coating composition applied on a transparent support body with energy. An optical film is composed of a transparent support body(1) and at least one functional layer made of a coating composition. At least one functional layer is formed by successively or simultaneously applying plural cycles using thermal and optical energy. The coating composition contains thermosetting and photohardenable materials and compounds having thermosetting and photohardenable parts in the same molecule. At least one functional layer includes at least one of a layer(5) with low refractive index and a hard coat layer(2).
