<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display using a reflection film which has a transmitting region in a pixel region and to provide a liquid crystal display eliminating display irregularity due to a spacer and realizing resulting high visibility. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is equipped with a liquid crystal display panel LP and a backlight BL and has a reflection region R and a transmission region T in a pixel region. The liquid crystal display panel LP is produced by laminating one transparent substrate 1 having a transparent electrode 3 and an alignment film 5 deposited thereon and the other transparent substrate 2 having a transparent electrode 4 and an alignment film 6 deposited thereon with a liquid crystal 7 interposed.
