The present invention relates to an apparatus for fastening a windscreen wiper lever (3) to a drive shaft (1), comprising a clamping element for connecting the lever (3) to the shaft (1), with the lever (3) having a passage opening (5), with the shaft (1) extending through the passage opening (5), with the clamping element (9) being arranged between the shaft (1) and an abutment region (17) of the lever (3), with the clamping element (9) having a first end (13) and a second end (15), and it being possible to operate the clamping element in such a way that the first end (13) of the clamping element (9) is in pressing contact with the shaft (1) and the second end (15) of the clamping element (9) is supported against the abutment region (17) of the lever (3).
