The method involves introducing threads (12,15), which are connected, into a connecting chamber (11) of a pneumatic connecting device (10). The threads are fixed, which are arrived into the device. The ends of the threads are cut off and rolled up. The cut and open ends of the threads are extracted in the direction of the connecting chamber. The connection is executed by compressed air. The interception of the threads with adjustable size between the introduction and the untwisting of the threads is accomplished. An independent claim is also included for a device for optimized, pneumatic connection of threads or yarns.
