PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member coated with a thermal-spray fluoride coating film, which is obtained by inhibiting a pyrolysis reaction and an oxidation reaction so as to tightly adhere the thermal-spray fluoride coating film having favorable characteristics in terms of product quality, and to provide a method for coating formation by firmly adhering the coating film.SOLUTION: A method comprises ejecting particles of a thermal-spray fluoride material onto a substrate or a substrate surface on which a carbide cermet undercoat is formed, by means of an inert gas serving as a working gas for film formation at an inert-gas temperature of 600-1,300°C and a particle velocity of 500 m/sec. or higher, thereby forming a thermal-spray fluoride coating film. A member coated with the thermal-spray fluoride coating film is also provided. |
