PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cooling a linear motor which uniformly cools a radiator in a cooling duct.SOLUTION: The linear motor includes: a mover; a plurality of magnets arranged along a direction of movement of the mover; at least one coil disposed in the mover; the radiator for radiating heat generated by the coil; and the cooling duct containing at least part of the radiator. The cooling duct cylindrically extends from an inlet located at one end to an outlet located at the other end. An intake fan is disposed at the inlet of the cooling duct to feed air into the cooling duct. An exhaust fan is disposed at the outlet of the cooling duct to exhaust air out of the cooling duct. The cooling duct further has an intermediate outlet located between the inlet and the outlet, and an intermediate inlet located between the intermediate outlet and the outlet. |
