摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device capable of suppressing looseness in the circumferential direction, having the excellent efficiency of work to connect a hub wheel to an outer joint member of a constant velocity universal joint, capable of separating the hub wheel from the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint, and having excellent maintenance performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the wheel bearing device, the hub wheel 1, a double-row rolling bearing 2 and the constant velocity universal joint 3 are unitized, and the hub wheel 1 and a shaft 12 of the outer joint member of the constant velocity universal joint 3 fitted and inserted to a hole 22 of the hub wheel 1 are separably coupled to each other via a projection and recess fitting structure M. In the projection and recess fitting structure M, projections 35 formed at either one of the outer diameter face of the shaft part 12 of the outer joint member or the inner diameter face 37 of the hole 22 of the hub wheel 1 and extended axially are press-fitted to the other face along the axial direction, and on the other face, a recess 36 closely contacting with and fitted to the projections 35 in the projections 35 are formed so as to achieve the close contact state of the entire region of the fitting and contact portions 38 of the projections 35 and the recesses 36.
