PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary shaft seal with a capability that one kind of rotary shaft seal is sufficient even in a case of being used to a rotary shaft performing bidirectional rotation (capable of being used as both for right rotation and for left rotation), and capable of significantly improving sealability.SOLUTION: In a rotary shaft seal having a resin seal element 4, the seal element 4 has a circular ring sheet shape with an inner peripheral circle 6 and an outer peripheral circle 7 in a free state before assembly, and one or more independent circular grooves 8 formed so as to surround the inner peripheral circle 6 are disposed eccentrically with respect to the outer peripheral circle 7. |
