<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for coating paper for a curtain coater, which has superior coating operability when coating a paper with a curtain coating method. <P>SOLUTION: The composition for coating paper contains a copolymer latex (a) of 1-20 pts.wt. (solid content) and a sulfonic acid-based surface active agent (b) of 0.02-0.7 pt.wt. (solid content) with respect to 100 pts.wt. (solid content) of total pigment, and thereby adequately maintains a curtain film even when a flow rate thereof is reduced, hardly causes foaming in a coating and also obtains superior coating operability when coating a paper with a curtain coating method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
