<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a water cutoff part of electric wire at an arbitrary intermediate position of the electric wire. <P>SOLUTION: This is a water cutoff method of an electric wire arranged at a water covered region of a vehicle. An insulating coated layer is removed at an intermediate portion in length direction of the electric wire and a core wire is exposed, then, a cut-off agent having fluidity is dropped on the exposed part of the core wire, and at the time of dropping or after dropping the cut-off agent, the cut-off agent is penetrated into the gap of strands of the exposed part of the cut-off agent, and a negative pressure is introduced inside the insulating coated layer from the terminal of the electric wire, and the cut-off agent is sucked inside the insulating coated layer. Otherwise, pressure air is loaded on the exposed part of the core wire and the cut-off agent is pressed in the insulating coated layer and the cut-off agent is penetrated into between the strands of the core wire inside the insulating coated layer.
