<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device exhibiting part holding force equal to caulking work, by incorporating a lip seal member and a backup ring into the inner peripheral side of a metallic ring, without performing a caulking processing, when assembling the seal lip type sealing device. <P>SOLUTION: This sealing device 1 is provided for holding for preventing slipping-out by inserting the lip seal member 8 and the backup ring 9 from one in the axial direction into the inner peripheral side of the metallic ring 3. A partial projection part 4 is arranged on the circumference inward in the radial direction in an end part in the axial direction of the metallic ring 3, and a partial recessed part 10 is arranged on the circumference in the backup ring 9 in response to the projection part 4. The projection part 4 and the recessed part 10 are positioned on the circumference, and the backup ring 9 is inserted into the inner peripheral side of the metallic ring 3. Slipping-out of the backup ring 9 is prevented by engaging the backup ring 9 with the projection part 4 by relatively rotating the metallic ring 3 and the backup ring 9 after insertion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
