A subassembly of modular structure (3) has interconnectable component parts including a holding ring (4), web (5), a base plate (6) and a hub connected to the base plate. All component parts of the subassembly are made from the same or different materials that comply with the specific requirements of the component. The component parts are connected by way of the same or different joining processes. An independent claim is included for a friction clutch.
