摘要 PURPOSE: An oxygen sensor diagnostic apparatus of a hybrid vehicle and a method thereof are provided to minimize an environmental contamination caused by exhaust gas generated by the malfunction of an oxygen sensor. CONSTITUTION: An oxygen sensor diagnostic apparatus of a hybrid vehicle comprises an engine controlling unit and a hybrid controlling unit. The engine controlling unit determines whether a predefined fuel cut driving condition is satisfied based on the output voltage of an oxygen sensor or not, and transmits a fuel cut mode implement command and the output voltage of the oxygen sensor through a can communication in case of satisfying the fuel cut driving condition(109). The hybrid controlling unit performs the malfunction diagnosis of the oxygen sensor after reducing an engine torque by receiving the fuel cut mode implement command of the engine controlling part and the output voltage of the oxygen sensor and controlling a throttle valve with a predefined value(119).
