<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic device and an IC card enhancing security by executing a series of instruction processing across a plurality of logical channels to intentionally complicate the processing. <P>SOLUTION: An authenticated state is established by previously opening two logical channels of the IC card for supporting the plurality of logical channels, selecting the same application, conducting a challenge request on one logical channel, and after that, authenticating the authentication information generated by the challenge request on the other logical channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
