The invention relates to a fiber-optic vibration sensor comprising: an optical fiber having a free end, said free end being caused to oscillate under the influence of vibrations, and said oscillations being detected as a measure for the vibrations: a light source for emitting light into the optical fiber at an end of the fiber opposite the free end; a mirror, which is arranged to reflect part of the light exiting the free end back into the optical fiber; and a detection device for capturing reflected light at the end of the fiber opposite the free end. The vibration sensor comprises a solid state element arranged in the beam path of the light outside of the optical fiber, said element having a temperature-dependent optical property, and an analytical unit, designed to determine the temperature of the solid state element from spectral changes of the light and to determine vibrations from intensity changes of the light. |
