PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular speed limitation apparatus capable of reducing the possibility of its own vehicle decelerating against the intention of a driver.SOLUTION: A vehicular speed limitation apparatus includes: an upper-limit setup part for setting an upper limit speed of its own vehicle every time a recognized speed limit of a road changes; and a speed control part for controlling a travel speed of the vehicle under the speed limit even if an opening degree of an accelerator pedal of the vehicle increases so that the travel speed of the vehicle exceeds the speed limit. Further, in a case where the vehicle is predicted to start changing lanes, with a reduction in the speed limit recognized, the speed control part performs: executing control of the travel speed of the vehicle under the upper-limit speed that has been set by the upper-limit setup part before starting to change lanes of the vehicle is predicted until given timing; and controlling, after the given timing, the travel speed of the vehicle under the upper-limit speed set by the upper-limit setup part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
